Mary Jo Foerste

Director Mary Jo Foerste has an Illinois Teaching Certificate in Educable and Trainable Mentally handicapped (EMH/TMH) as well as Learning Disable (LD), Behavioral Disorders (BD), and Elementary Education. In addition, she approved to teach Early Childhood Special Education and Reading. Mary Jo has over 20 years of experience teaching in the Belleville schools in the above areas of concentration. She has also taught developmental reading at the College Level and has experience in computer instruction at the elementary level. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and a Master of Science degree with reading emphasis from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In addition to her teaching career, Mary Jo is very active in the Belleville Community. She is a member of the Belleville District 118 Foundation Board, a sustaining member of the Jr. Service Club of St. Clair County, an ambassador for the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Edwardsville Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce.   Recently, Mary Jo was recognized by Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women.

W. Terry Foerste

Owner/VP and Secretary Terry Foerste received his undergraduate degree in Human Services for Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois. He obtained his M.A. degree in 1993 from Webster University, St. Louis, MO. During his military service Terry taught various military classes and served as a rotary-wing flight instructor. As a civilian, he has instructed classes approved by the St. Louis County Police and the General Services Administration/Law Enforcement Branch and taught general educational and business subjects in a business school environment.   Terry is an active member of the West End Committee of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and the Edwardsville Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce.

June VeDova
June VeDova

Secretary and Receptionist June VeDova has been with My Tutor since February 2004. June runs the office, is Mary Jo’s right-hand person and does a wide variety of duties, which include scheduling students for driving, sending out information and keeping chaos to a minimum. June is a valuable asset to the tutoring center and driving school. June is not only a very valued employee but also a good friend.

My Tutor Learning Center is staffed by certified educators who provide a noncompetitive, positive
learning atmosphere.
 
Al Stahl

Driving Instructor Al Stahl has been a driving instructor for My Tutor Driving School since the conception of the program in 1997. Al is an excellent instructor with extensive experience teaching and instructing at the high school level in classroom and driving. Never for a loss for words, Al is vital to the operation and is a great employee.

Don Otness

Driving Instructor Don Otness has been with us since the early days and comes from a very successful high school teaching career and is the expert in the driving instruction of young and older adults. Don has the ability to teach anyone, regardless of skill level or language limitations the correct methods of safe driving. Don has had amazing success and is a valued member of the instructor staff.

Melissa White

Driving Instructor Melissa White has been an excellent instructor in the classroom and car. The students have loved Melissa’s relaxed teaching style and ability to connect. Melissa has been one of My Tutor Driving School instructors since 2004. Melissa has been very helpful to new instructors and does not hesitate to make suggestions and recommendations to improve the quality of instruction.

Jim McHaney

Driving Instructor Jim McHaney started as a driving instructor in the summer of 2005 and has a very easy style. Jim is currently conducting the Remedial courses held monthly and drives with the students whenever the schedule allows. Jim’s teaching and coaching keeps him busy but fortunately Jim can find time to do some driving instruction.

Wayne Grimm

Driving Instructor Wayne Grimm started as a driving instructor early in 2006 and fills in driving slots whenever he is in town. Wayne’s other job keeps him traveling but we look forward to seeing Wayne when he is in town. We appreciate his easy style of instruction, as we are sure the kids do as well.

Tara Wentz

Driving Instructor Tara Wentz is an excellent driving instructor and does well with drivers at all skill levels. Tara started instructing for My Tutor in late 2005 and is also a teacher and gymnastic coach. Tara has an enthusiastic personality and a style all her own.

Tim Brilley

Driving Instructor Tim Brilley is new addition to the My Tutor Driving School staff and is currently teaching the classroom as well as driving students. As are many of the instructors, Tim is a coach and teacher. He has done an excellent job in the classroom and providing instruction in the car.
